I bought two previous models of the Gama Sonic light with one subsequently developing a leak in the top. When the top was replaced, it had the on/off switch on the outside and the light lumens was much improved over the earlier model. If I replace the battery in the older model, will I get the greater intensity or will it maintain the current level of light or do I need to replace the complete top to enjoy the greater illumination?
